Student Life Director
At High Point Christian Academy (HPCA) we love Jesus, and we love students. Our primary objective for every student is that they too will love Jesus, and follow Him wherever He leads. We place a high priority on academic excellence and social responsibility. And we do our best to equip students with the tools they need to view both these arenas through a Biblical lense. We believe that God’s word, the Bible, is totally true and accurate, and it must be foundational in a student’s life for any true and lasting wisdom to take root.
As a husband and a father I understand the difficulties that we, as parents and family members, face as we attempt to connect with our children, and teach them the importance of obeying God’s word and following Jesus. Consequently, one of my objectives as Student Life Director is to partner with parents and families in order to be a consistent connection to HPCA and our students. It is my aim to help parents and families by sharing resources and insights that can bring you closer to your children as they travel this challenging, and sometimes misleading, journey of Middle School and High School.
Currently, students are faced with innumerable challenges brought on by academics, peers, social media, and family. When these challenges are impacted even further by a student’s deep-rooted questions related to identity and self-worth, their lives can become overwhelmed. Therefore, it is also my objective to help students cut through the confusing noise of this world and guide them to the inexplicable peace which can only be found through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Essentially, I want to connect all our students with Jesus. I do this by preaching in chapel, teaching a Bible class, leading an overseas mission trip, and by simply being present for students – with a listening ear and an open mind.
